A white ceiling, can work with almost every room, but why do we continuously opt for a plain for white? Painting your ceiling might just add the dimension to your space that you were looking for!

Look at the difference!

Elevating a space is when we take the extra step in our design to create a more custom/finished/complete look.

Painting your ceiling can make a small sized room look way larger! Color and and placement are two very important factors in the world of design. When we use them right, we can manipulate the way our spaces look and feel.

EXAMPLE:

I am renovating a small powder room. The ceilings are 7' ceilings - 1' below your average ceiling height - so I have already lost some space. Powder rooms typically tend to be small in size, as there is no use for a shower/tub. EVERY guest that comes into this home uses this powder room. We want it to feel larger than it actually is to make our guests feel comfortable, not cramped! ONE way I can manipulate this space is to paint the ceiling a dark color. A dark color changes our perception of this space. It allows for what I am going to call "space interpretation" - tricking our eyes into thinking we are seeing more!

To put it plain and simple, before you paint your ceiling white, think twice!
